Some of my earliest memories revolve around woodworking: cutting blocks with a coping saw in my dad’s basement shop, whittling bows with drawknives (and kitchen knives!) with my grandpa, or watching my uncle demonstrate how to cut dovetails with a handsaw. These are also some of my fondest memories, and so after a brief stint in plant biology, I returned to what I love and became a furniture maker. I favor hand tools in my shop, which allows me to pay proper attention to the fit of each joint and the grain of each board. This process allows me to create furniture for people that is both practically built to suit their needs, and which retains some of the beauty imparted on the lumber from the trees that created it. I aim to make furniture that brings enjoyment and lasts beyond this generation!

When I am not in the shop, I love gardening with my wife, walking my dogs, and hiking in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
